Start 6-8 weeks indoors before last frost. Direct seed 2 months before last frost or 2-4 weeks before first frost. Seeds require light to germinate, press into soil, do not cover. May self seed. Tender perennial, but best grown as annual. Tolerates poor soil. Soil pH 5.6-7.5. Hardiness zones 5-10. Perennial.
